In April, 1999, I managed to finally get some songs onto a CD. The equipment used was a Layla 8-track digital recorder and the Korg i5M synthesizer. Cakewalk Pro Audio was the computer software I used, which was pretty useful in making a half decent album. "Spanish Tune" I learnt from a teacher ages ago and I think its an altered arrangment by Tarrega. The second, "Not-PC" involved 3 tracks--a rhythm guitar, vocals and the drum track-- it was a bit of a joke...Dougy, thanks for the innovative vocals.

Influences
Basically, I like many different types of music. The two types I enjoy the most would be metal and spanish. I have been playing the guitar for around 5 years now and my electric influences are mainly Metallica, Slayer, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Below are some humble opinions of my favourite albums.

The three best Metallica albums. The new(er) stuff is soft and weak and deserves no better than a place in the bin.

All Slayer is great but these 2 in particular especially stand out. "Reign in Blood" (pictured left) is probably the most intense metal CD I've heard.

Two great albums by a true guitar genius. Maybe not as technically talented as his student, Steve Vai, he makes up for it in his creative and melodically enriching lead playing.

Definitly the best guitarist around--this guy is God. Ask anyone who knows a thing or two about guitars and they'll reckon this guy shreds. Check out "Alien Love Secrets" for a sample of his power and diversity.

Flamenco Lord--This guy is damn good, recording his first album at just 15yrs of age. The tabluture for the first track from this CD has been transrcibed by me and is available below
