Gnaraloo 2003 was again epic. Read the typical conversation heard shortly after getting back to chilly Perth...

You: So, you just got back from Gnaraloo, how was it?
Me: Yep farkin sick mate, farkin sick
You: Really? When did you go?
Me: I was there from Sunday the 10th of August to Sunday the 16th
You: Cool...and the waves?
Me: Yea it was stormy as hell for the first couple of days as a massive swell thumped the coast. Then it cleared up and it was crazy, really heavy.
You: Aww I dunno, you and me might have different ideas about what to call heavy
Me: I see - check the sequence to the right, or better yet, i have a video of the same wave here
You: (after viewing the pictures and seeing the video) Fark thats crazy! Did you get any waves??
Me: No way, I tried to paddle out and got blasted into the lagoon, it took me over 20minutes just to get in, the current was really bad. Shortly after I got in, a set that was atleast 12ft+ broke halfway between bombie and tombstones. I was glad to be in the carpark at that time
You: Shiat! So what was it like the rest of the time?
Me: After that it dropped off, but still stayed around the 3-6ft mark for the remainder of the trip. A couple of the days were all day offshores
You: Oh right on, got any more photos of that ?
Me: Yerp click here
You: Excrement. What did you use to take photos?
Me: I used a video camera, and then pulled the stills from the footage. Some of the other photos were taken with a regular camera...
You: Yea like the ones without that munted blue-ish colour. What happened there?
Me: Well apparently as I was filming I was messing with the light settings on the camera, and so it came out all weird. Typical ay...
You: You idiot !
Me: Hey... f--k you buddy...
